читать дальшеThe story of the curse behind Rama's final separation from Sita and his kids.
In one of the devasura wars, the devas have completely routed the asuras, and a handful of them flee and take refuge with Rishi Bhrigu's wife Khyati. When Indra confronts her, she refuses to surrender the asuras, since they've taken refuge with her. The devas then go to Vishnu and appeal to him to come to their aid. Accordingly, Vishnu visits Khyati and asks her to surrender the asuras, telling her that they were a threat to mankind. She declines for the same stated reason, and tells Vishnu that he'd have to kill her before he could harm them. Accordingly, Vishnu beheaded her with his sudarshan chakra, and following that, beheaded the fugitive asuras as well.
When Bhrigu returned, he was furious at his wife's killing, and cursed Vishnu that he too would be separated from his wife when he took a human avatar. Vishnu explained that he had to do what he did for the good of mankind, even though he had to ugly choices in front of him - either kill the wife or allow a lot of innocent people to be slaughtered by the asuras. However, he accepted the curse and told Bhrigu that in the treta yuga, the avatar he took then would be the one that sustained the effect of the curse.
This curse, therefore, was the one that visited itself upon Rama, and tragically also Sita with it.
