Ram takes vow of killing Kashi naresh in three days.
Brihaspati meets Narad.
Brihaspati - It was my mistake to doubt you, devarshi.
Narad - It is all your blessing.
Brihaspati - But one wrong thing happened. Kashi naresh's death in the hands of Sri Ram is certain. Only you can think of some way of saving him.

Kashi naresh asks people in his darbar if there is any way he can be saved. All keep mum.
King - Shall I assume that none of you has any way of saving my life? Mahamantri, why don't you say anything?
Mahamantri - Maharaj, Ayodhya-pati Sri Ram has never been defeated. He killed Khar, Dushan, Ravan, Kumbhkarn and many other rakshasas. If he has taken a vow, then who can can stop him from fulfilling it?
King - Gurudev, you are our guru. At least you say something.
Guru - King, some problems have no solution.
King - Please do not say that. Guru can show light even in darkness. That is why guru is called greater than God. Please tell me some solution.
Guru - Maharshi Durvasha, a great devotee of Lord Shiv, is in Kashi. If you go to him, then may be he will do something for you.

Durvasa is in meditation. Kashi naresh sits on his feet and begs him to save his life. Durvasa opens his eyes and kicks Kashi naresh. (This was too much. Durvasa is known to get angry and curse very easily, but showing that he kicked with his feet the king of Kashi was too much.)
Duvasa - Stupid, shameless Kashi naresh. I am not among those weak people, who encourage sinners by forgiving them. I bring sinners even from patal and punish them. You committed a big sin. You insulted a great rishi like Vishwamitra.
King - I made a mistake.
Durvasa - Get lost, otherwise before Sri Ram I will kill you with my curse.
Kashi naresh runs away.

Ram is going out. He takes blessings from Vishwamitra and Kaushalya.
Vishwamitra - Ram, you are going to protect dharma. Be victorious.
Kaushalya - Ram, you are dharma personified. Whatever you do will be a good precedent for the world.
Ram - Laxman, I am going with Hanuman. Take care of Ayodhya in my absence. (Why say this to Laxman? Why not to Bharat? After all, Bharat is yuvraj.)
A spy - Maharaj, Kashi naresh has left his city and gone into hiding.
Ram - Kashi naresh, even if Kashi naresh hides in swarg or patal, he will get punishment.

Ram, Hanuman and some soldiers are walking in forest.(Why walking? It would have been better to show them on chariots. There was no need of showing that Ram vowed not to take any seat before killing Kashi naresh. After all, this is the greatest emperor on Earth going on a mission.)

Narad meets Kashi naresh.
King - Devarshi, I have been waiting for you.
Narad - Kashi naresh, I am sorry that you got into this problem because of me. But I am not able to think of any way out.
King - Devarshi, if my death is certain, then it is my good fortune that I will be killed by Sri Ram. Do not worry about me. I am going in the service of Sri Ram.
Narad - Wait Kashi naresh. I will not let you die. You should go to Bajrang Bali Hanuman's mother Anjana. But make sure that you must not tell her Sri Ram's name until she promises to save your life.

Kashi naresh goes to Anjana. (Why this new actress?)
King - Mother!
Anjana - Who are you and what do you want?
King - I am the king of Kashi and I request that you should save my life.
Anjana - Why should you fear me?
King - I do not fear you but my life is in danger from somebody else. But you can save me from him.
Anjana - From whom? Tell his name.
King - I will tell his name. But first you should promise that you will save my life.
Anjana - When I do not even know his name, then how can I promise?
King - It is our dharm to protect those who come for protection. If you are hesitating in following your dharma, then I will go from here.
Anjana - Wait. I promise to save your life. Now tell me whom do you fear?
King - Raghupati Sri Ram.
Anjana picks up a stick. (This was too much.)
Anjana - You think I am a fool that I will save you from Sri Ram? Is there anybody mightier than Sri Ram? But what exactly did you do?
King - I went to congratulate Sri Ram on his becoming a king. I unknowingly ignored rishi Vishwamitra. Therefore, Sri Ram has vowed to kill me.
Anjana - You have put me in a dilemma. My son Bajrang has vowed to serve Sri Ram for whole life. And you want me to save you from Sri Ram? Free me from this promise.
King - You promised me.
Anjana - Ok, go inside and take rest. I will see what I can do.
King - Glory to mother Anjani.
Anjana calls out to Hanuman.
Anjana - Son Hanuman, Bajrang, where are you? You are needed here.

Hanuman - Lord, my mother is calling me.
Ram - Then why are you delaying? Go fast.
Hanuman - Lord, your job is still not done. How can I leave your job pending.
Ram - Hanuman, can there be anybody greater than mother? By ignoring her call, you will incur sin.
Hanuman - Lord, I cannot leave you. If serving you is a sin, then I accept that.
Ram - But I do not want to be with you in this sin.
Anjana continues to call Hanuman.
Ram - Hanuman, do not trouble your mother any more. Follow my order and go to her.

Kashi naresh comes out and waits for Hanuman.
Anjana - King, have patience. Patience is the most beautiful jewelery.
King - I was wondering why Bajrangbali Hanuman has still not come.
Anjana - He must be on way. It is not possible that my son will hear me and not come here. But if he sees you on coming here, then it will not be good. So go inside and do not come out till I tell you to.
Hanuman comes there by flying.
Hanuman - Ma, you were calling me?
Anjana - There is a problem. But you have to promise that you will do what I say.
Hanuman - Mother, has it ever happened that you said something and I did not do? Your wish is a command for me and your command is my promise.
Anjana - I know but I still want promise from you.
Hanuman - Mother, this is strange. Before this you never said such a thing. But if you want, then I promise that I will do what you say.
Anjana - Be quiet for some time. Do not do anything. King, come out.
Kashi naresh comes out. Hanuman gets angry on seeing him.
Hanuman - You?
Anjana - He is the king of Kashi.
Hanuman - I know him. My lord has vowed to punish him to death. When you were calling me, then we were searching for him. I will go and tell lord Sri Ram where Kashi naresh is.
Anjana - I told you not to do anything.
Hanuman - But mother, what is he doing here?
Anjana - I have promised him that I will protect him from Sri Ram. Now you have to see to it that my promise is fulfilled.
Hanuman is shocked to hear this.

Так о чём сыр-бор?!

In today's precap, they showed that next week (not necessarily Monday), they'll show the battle between Rama and Hanuman. Note that this is not there in Valmiki, but at least, it's not a Sagar invention.
At any rate, since the question came up as to the story behind this, I'm re-posting what *** posted in the last thread, so that people can be familiar w/ this story.

The story I read of the encounter between Hanuman and Ram:

A king of a small country by name Sakuntan was returning on his way from hunting. He saw a place where the sages Vasishta, Viswamitra, Atri and others performing a yagna. Thinking that it would not be appropriate to enter the sacred place when he returned from hunting covered with sweat and blood, ge stood outside the entrance, raised his arms above his head and said, "My salutaions to the great sages like Vashishta." Ram, finding the fort sent forth his arrows but those arrows returned to his feet. While he stared perplexed at this phenomenon, Sage Narad explained that Hanuman protects Sakuntan with the name 'Ram'.He also says that, "Against your name, even you cannot do anything." Rishi Viswamitra says that all this was the result of his ego and he won't pursue it anymore. When Lord Ram is worried about his promise going in vain, Devarishi suggests that Sakuntan bows to Sage Vishwamitra so that his head touches the Rishi's feet. Sakuntan does so and all ends well.

In 'Jai Hanuman', the only deviation was when Ram took his own arrow in the end, Hanuman cries out saying that a Raam baan should never go waste and then someone interferes and suggests that Sakuntan should bow down to Sage Viswamitra's feet.



In Bajrangbali, which I saw on dailymotion.com, the only difference from the above account was that Hanuman actually made a fort not with his tail, but a real one, with stones that had Rama's name written on them. That's what protected Sakuntan (Note to self: gotta remember that name!) from Rama's arrows.



In the version that i've read, Sage Narada asks King Sakuntan, who was about to visit Rama, to ignore sage Vishwamitra in the court and bow only to Rama. This makes vishwamitra really angry.

A few observations about today's episode. When Rama left Ayodhya on his goose chase, he left the kingdom in the hands of Lakshman. In that case, one wonders - wasn't that the Yuvraj's job, and wasn't the Yuvraj Bharat? (Actually, out here, I wouldn't completely fault the Sagars, since in the original Shambhuka story, Rama leaves Ayodhya in Lakshman's charge, rather than Bharat's. But then again, that may be one of the indications of that story not being in the original).

Also, Rama leaves with Hanuman, and a handful of soldiers, on foot. So a chakravarty maharaj can't afford a chariot? Or did the war with Ravan convince him that he's best an infantry warrior (aside from when he used Matali's chariot)? And since he knows that the king is incognito, how exactly does he know where to look?

Also, in this story, why does Hanuman have to accompany Rama, when later, Anjani will need him? (Incidentally, they changed the Anjani actress too - I loved the old one - second only to my Dhanya). How was killing this ruler as high a priority for Rama as finding Sita?

Дарбар в сабхе. Вишвамитра хвалит Рамачандру. Прибывает царь Каши и приносит дары. Он приветствует Раму, но не замечает (или делает вид) риши Вишвамитру. Последний сильно ругается и требует от Рамы что-то сделать. В ответ на это, раджа Кошалы клянётся убить раджу Каши в течение трёх дней и тремя стрелами.
Каши-нареш, в свою очередь, скрывается.

Эх, этот бы пафос - да на индийские экраны б несколько недель тому назад! Кто знает, может быть бы и индийская история повернулась бы по другому.. но неееет.. низззяяя, чёртов конгресс

Vishwamitra is initially very angry over Sita's exile. But, considering everything, he comes to the conclusion that Ram had performed his kingly duties. On the other hand, the king of Kashi is worried because the soldiers of the neighbouring kingdom are troubling the people of Kashi. Narad advises him to seek the friendship of Ram. He comes to Ayodhya, greets Ram and completely ignores Vishwamitra. After the king of Kashi has gone back, Vishwamitra expresses his displeasure to Ram. Ram vows that within three days, he will kill Kashi-naresh.

Vishwamitra meets the members of the royal family and he wonders where Sita is.
Vishwamitra - Ram, where is Sita? Why doesn't anybody answer me? Where is Sita?
All are shocked.
Ram - You know everything. Nothing is hidden from your spiritual sight.
Vishwamitra closes his eyes and, by his yogic power, finds out all that happened. (I wish I had this power. Would have helped me so much in exams.)
Vishwamitra - This family exiled Laxmi-like Sita. I cannot stay here even for a moment. Tomorrow in the raj-sabha, I will decide whether what happened to Sita is right or wrong. Ram, if I come to the conclusion that what happened is wrong, then you will have to repent for this sin. Till then I will not stay here. I will stay in the ashram of Mahamuni Vashishth.

Devguru Brihaspati is calling out to Narad.
Brihaspati - This was my mistake. I know Narad. But still I was convinced by his sweet talk. He will not do anything and feeling ashamed, he is hiding.
Narad - Devguru, you are unnecessarily getting worried. Narad has never failed and will not fail. I enjoy such things. Just watch Narad's leela.

Kashi naresh is shown.

Narad gets an idea and comes there.
King - Pranam, devarshi Narad.
Narad - Maharaj, I heard that your neighbouring kingdom's soldiers are troubling your people.
King - You are right, devarshi. Looks like I have to teach them a lesson.
Narad - Maharaj, by nature you are a peace-loving person. That is why you never tried to increase your force. But your neighbour king has a huge army. He will attack you.
King - You tell me what to do.
Narad - The solution is very simple. The friend of a mighty person is also called mighty. There is only one mighty king on the Earth - Sri Ram. He has slain Vali, Ravan, Kumbhkarn etc. If you make friendship with him, then it will be good for Kashi.
Then Narad says something in Kashi naresh's ear.

In Ram's family all are worried.
Kaushalya - Ram, what will happen now? Vishwamitra loves Sita as his daughter. Even gods fear him. What will he do tomorrow in the raj-sabha?
Ram - Ma, the guru who gave me education, taught me culture, and showed me the way to progress in life - if he himself becomes the cause of my end, then there is nothing to worry. This is my good fortune. Ma, if your son has committed any mistake knowingly or unknowingly, then the punishment by guru will free me from that.
Laxman - Let guru Vishwamitra come. I will take whatever punishment he gives to bhaiya.
Laxman - Why only you? We all will accept that punishment. If we are with bhaiya Ram in his happiness, then we must be with him in sorrow.
Hanuman nods.
Kaushalya - Your love for Ram is unparallaled. But punishment is not something, which can be shared. There has to be some other solution.

Next day, in the raj-sabha
Ram - Guruvar, yesterday you said that you would tell your decision. What is your order for me?
Vishwamitra - Whatever I am going to say now is not to my student and Dashrath's son Ram but to Ayodhya-naresh Sri Ram. By exiling your wife Sita, you set a great precent for present and future kings.
All are happy to hear this.
Vishwamitra - Raj-dharm says that a king should give up even his most beloved person and thing for the sake of people. By exiling Sita, you considered your kingly duty above your personal happiness. Considering everything, I come to the conclusion that you behaved like a great king. Therefore, I Vishwamitra praise you whole-heartedly and I bless you.(When Vishwamitra himself found that Ram did nothing wrong, then what was the need of Narad playing any game? Or can it be said that Narad was not sure of what decision Vishwamitra would take?)
Messenger - Maharaj, Kashi-naresh wants to meet you.
Kashi's king arrives. He says pranam only to Ram. He completely ignores Vishwamitra. Vishwamitra is furious.
Kashi's king - On getting inspired by devarshi Narad, I have come here to meet you and to offer my best wishes to you. Please accept these gifts from me and on behalf of my kingdom.
Ram - Kashi-naresh, you came here after a long journey. You must be tired.
Kashi's king - I wanted to meet you. That job is done. I have lots of work pending in my kingdom. Therefore, I seek your permission to go back.
Kashi-naresh goes back.
Vishwamitra shouts - Ram! Purushottam Ram, you made a mockery of maryada. I have been insulted in your raj-sabha.
Ram - Please forgive me. But please tell me what is my fault.
Vishwamitra - You did not do anything wrong. But you saw the wrong being done. Kashi naresh greeted you but he did not look at me even once. You have to decide upon the judgement. Otherwise, rishi-munis will not be respected.
Ram - By not greeting guru Vishwamitra, Kashi-naresh has dared to spoil my maryada. I, Dashrathi Ram, take a vow that within three days, I will slay Kashi-naresh with my three arrows. Till then I will not take any seat, will not sit on throne or even on a chariot. (It would have been better to show that he vowed to make the head of Kashi-naresh fall on the feet of Vishwamitra. That way, even by not killing Kashi-naresh, Ram, as per the words spoken by him, could keep his vow. After all, according to the story of Ram-Hanuman yiddh, Ram did not actually kill Kashi-naresh.)

Precap - Kashi naresh goes into hiding.

Suppose Vishwamitra had come to the conclusion that Ram did wrong by exiling Sita. Then what was the use of the game played by Narad? It would have been more appropriate to show that the king of Kashi comes to Ayodhya's raj-sabha before Vishwamitra makes his judgement. That way, it could be shown that Vishwamitra expresses his anger over the behaviour of Kashi-naresh and says nothing about Sita's exile.

My thoughts exactly. *** answered this question somewhat - in Balkand, the story of how Vishwamitra went from a King to a Brahmarshi is given in good detail - and during that story, he delayed every promotion he got - Rajarshi, Maharshi and finally Brahmarshi - by cursing a lot of people - Vashishtha's sons for refusing to attend his yagna for Trishanku, Rambha for seducing him and throwing a fit when the devas refused to recognize the alternate planetary system he created to rival theirs for spiteing him over Trishanku. He somehow held his temper w/ Maneka, who seduced him and w/ who he begat Shakuntala (therefore, she was born long before Rama was, although whether she married Dushyant in Treta yuga or Dwapar yuga is another question). Finally, he had to demonstrate that he had conquered all anger when he became a Brahmarshi. Notwithstanding, his temper tantrum at Dasharath for balking at parting w/ Rama was uncalled for.

However, aside from that, in his post Brahmarshi life, he rarely lost his temper - one rare occasion was the incident w/ Samba's cross-dressing. *** brought up a good point about Shakuntala, and what's more - if he was going to in one night flip over and praise Rama to the skies for exiling Sita, why lose your marbles over her exile in the first place?

I have another question. Vishwamitra's temper is one thing. Does it seem likely that Rama, who generally was dedicated to dharma, would decide to end the life of another person for merely a slight - that too unintended - just because a Brahmin throws a temper tantrum? Was it so important to placate rishis that even lives of innocent people who Rishis were riled at was fair game?

This is another of those stories I just can't believe. Pretty much in the same league as the ones that have Rama asking Lakshman to abandon Sita in the middle of the forest, cut off her hand/ear, et al.

I agree with you, Kashi king didn't see Vishwamitra so there's no question of getting angry on Vishwamitra's part.
Also I want to know whether the story is being told correctly in the serial or not? We had K-L ,Hanuman, shivji being degraded and now is it Vishwamitra's turn?
Vishwamitra is a 'brahmarishi' ,inspite of his anger as shown in serial.
Durvasa isn't among 'brahmarishi'
Many scriptures also refer to him as 'Suvasa' .He used to get angry very soon but not sure whether he went about cursing each n everyone because one thing I've found out is that his curse on shakuntala is an 'invention' from Kalidasa ,there's no mention about the curse in adiparva MBH where Shaku-Dush story is narrated.
btw the story of Shakuntala is before Ramayan.
Balkanda chapt 63 Vishwamitra narrates his story and about how Menaka allured him.

Но похоже, Рама не очень-то благоговеет перед мудрецами (и вообще - наглеет..)
Вишвамитра порвал- пометал, но сказал, что изгнание Ситы обдумает и приговор свой завтра вынесет.
Но интересная сцена - перед этим. "Где, я спрашиваю, Сита!" - грозно вопрошал Вишвамитра. На что Рама ему отвечал, нимало не смущаясь : " Так ты же сам всё должен знать! Используй свою йогическую силу!" (Нее - ей богу, я спешу ЭТОТ момент увидеть! Нашего Рамачандру начинают доставать риши-мудрецы?)

В свою же очередь, Брихаспати с Нарадой озабочены гневом Вишвамитры, и Брихаспати посылает Нараду сделать хоть чего-нибудь.
И что же делает наш вездесущий воспеватель имени Нараяна?
А он является во дворец к махараджу Каши. У того - на границе - беспорядки, и царь обдумывает, что делать. Нарада советует ему вступить в военный союз с Кошалой.
Кашиец прибывает в блистательную Айодхью.
А там - дарбар. И выступает Вишвамитра с речью. В которой одобряет все поступки царя Рамачандры.
Махараджа Каши подходит к трону и предлагает почтение махараджу Кошалы. При этом начисто игнорируя пламенного Вишвамитру.
Правильно, Вишвамитра вспыхнул как спичка.
И после того, как кашиец удалился, кричит на Раму: " Какого чё! Рам! Меня оскорбили в твоём собрании!!!"
На что Рам ему и отвечает, дескать, прости меня, гурувар, но в чём я-то провинился?
А дальше.. О!!

Messenger - Maharaj, Kashi-naresh wants to meet you.
Kashi's king arrives. He says pranam only to Ram. He completely ignores Vishwamitra. Vishwamitra is furious.
Kashi's king - On getting inspired by devarshi Narad, I have come here to meet you and to offer my best wishes to you. Please accept these gifts from me and on behalf of my kingdom.
Ram - Kashi-naresh, you came here after a long journey. You must be tired.
Kashi's king - I wanted to meet you. That job is done. I have lots of work pending in my kingdom. Therefore, I seek your permission to go back.
Kashi-naresh goes back.
Vishwamitra shouts - Ram! Purushottam Ram, you made a mockery of maryada. I have been insulted in your raj-sabha.
Ram - Please forgive me. But please tell me what is my fault.
Vishwamitra - You did not do anything wrong. But you saw the wrong being done. Kashi naresh greeted you but he did not look at me even once. You have to decide upon the judgement. Otherwise, rishi-munis will not be respected.
Ram - By not greeting guru Vishwamitra, Kashi-naresh has dared to spoil my maryada. I, Dashrathi Ram, take a vow that within three days, I will slay Kashi-naresh with my three arrows. Till then I will not take any seat, will not sit on throne or even on a chariot. (It would have been better to show that he vowed to make the head of Kashi-naresh fall on the feet of Vishwamitra. That way, even by not killing Kashi-naresh, Ram, as per the words spoken by him, could keep his vow. After all, according to the story of Ram-Hanuman yiddh, Ram did not actually kill Kashi-naresh.)

Precap - Kashi naresh goes into hiding.

Suppose Vishwamitra had come to the conclusion that Ram did wrong by exiling Sita. Then what was the use of the game played by Narad? It would have been more appropriate to show that the king of Kashi comes to Ayodhya's raj-sabha before Vishwamitra makes his judgement. That way, it could be shown that Vishwamitra expresses his anger over the behaviour of Kashi-naresh and says nothing about Sita's exile.

Ayodhya celebrates the victory of Shatrughan. Kaushalya distributes pearls among public. Shtrutkirit is also there. (Hey, go with your sons to Madhupuri .)
(Where is Bharat? Is he busy watching cricket matches?)

Chyavan rishi comes to Madhupuri and puts crown on Shatrughan's head with his own hands and blesses Shatrughan.
Chyavan - Today is the day of the victory of truth over falsehood, piousness over sin, fearlessness over terror. Now dharma rules over Madhupuri and you all can live in Madhupuri without fear.
(It would have been better if Shatrughan had made such an announcement.)
All chant glories to Madhupuri Maharaj Shatrughan.

In Valmiki ashram
LK - Ma, uncle won and he has become king.
Sita - Wow, but how do you know?
LK - From Ayodhya's messengers.
Sita - Your uncle is very brave.
LK - Ma, we are also brave like uncle. We also killed many demons (when)? When will we go on war.
Sita - When you grow up and learn the arts of warfare well.
Valmiki rishi comes.
Valmiki - Yes and for that you need to practise a lot. Go and practise.
Luv and Kush go to practise the usage of weapons.
Sita - Gurudev, today is the day of
Valmiki - celebrations. Shatrughan has enhanced the glory of Raghukul by killing Luvnasur. This could become possible by the blessings of you and Sri Ram.
Sita - My well wishes are always with him. My swami must be so happy today.
(So nice to see Sita being overjoyed over Shatrughan's victory.)

In Ayodhya, guru Vashishth is doing puja. He notices that for some time, water looks like blood.
Vashishth - It seems that Mahadev is giving some signal. Mahadev, why am I getting this omen. God, protect Ayodhya.
Vashishth informs this to his wife Arundhati.
Arundhati - This is a very bad omen.
Vashishth - You are right. I got similar indications before Ram-Ravan war. I am worried. Is there again going to be war?
Arundhati - Sri Ram is in Ayodhya. If there is any war, will it be in Ayodhya?
Vashishth - Yes, if there will be. After Sri Ram's victory over Ravan, his glories are sung far and wide that only with the army of vanars and bears, he defeated Ravan. Now Ayodhya's army is also with him. Who can dare to attack him?
A disciple of Vashishth comes.
Disciple - Gurudev, a munikumar wants to meet you. He will give the message and also his introduction only to you.

Vashisth meets the munikumar.
Munikumar - I am Gomantak, a student of rishi Vishwamitra. He is coming tomorrow to Ayodhya.
Vashishth - But rajarshi Vishwamitra is doing the aradhana of Gayatri. (Why call him rajarshi, why not brahmarshi? Are you demoting him?)
Gomantak - That aradhana is over. Now he wants to meet Sri Ram.
Vashishth - This is a very good news. Satyaprakash, arrange for his stay in the guest house.
Vashisth's student Satyaprakash takes Vishwamitra's student to the guest house.
Vashishth - Among ill omens, it is a good news that such a great person is coming.
Arundhati - But I am afraid. Rishi Vishwamitra was instrumental in the marriage between Ram and Sita. After Sita's exile, he is coming here for the first time. I am afraid that he may get angry and do something, which will cause these bad omens to take effect.
Vashisth - But I have to inform Ram about Vishwamitra's arrival.

Vashishth meets Ram.
Ram - You came so late at night. There must be some important news.
Vashishth - News is important but I am also worried over something. Today during sandhya puja, I saw something which makes me feel that some enemy is going to attack Ayodhya.
Ram - Gurudev, my life is devoted to my Lord Bholenath. He may do whatever he wishes. So long Lord Bholenath is with me and your blessings are with me, I am not afraid of any enemy. Now please tell me the news.
Vashishth - Tomorrow rajarshi Vishwamitra is arriving to Ayodhya.
Ram - This is a very good news. I will arrange for his royal welcome.
Vashishth - Certainly. Rajarshi must be accorded royal welcome.

Initially Ram was very happy that Vishwamitra would be arriving. Then he becomes serious. After guru Vashishth leaves, Ram paces around in his room. He remembers how he got married to Sita and he is also wondering what he will answer if rishi Vishwamitra asks where Janaki is.
Kaushalya - Ram, you are worried over rishi Vishwamitra's arrival. I am also worried. Rishi Vishwamitra never likes anything against his wishes. He can go to any extent to get what he wants.
Ram - That is why I am worried. How will he take the news of Sita's exile?
Kaushalya - Do not worry. God will set everything right.

Narad meets Brihaspati.
Narad - Dev guru, you look worried.
Brihaspati - Sri Hari's incarnation Sri Ram is worried over the news of Vishwamitra's arrival to Ayodhya. Devarshi Narad, the world knows how clever you are. Think of some solution.
Narad - You have put a huge burden on my weak shoulders. But since you have given this responsibility to me, I will think of something.
Brihaspati - But there is very little time. He is arriving in the morning.
Narad - Before morning, I will think of something.

Vishwamitra comes to Ayodhya. All greet him. Guru Vashisth and guru Vishwamitra greet each other.
Ram - Gurudev, please honour us by coming to the raj-sabha.
Vishwamitra - I have come here after so many years. I will definitely go to the raj-sabha. But, before that I want to meet all the members of the royal family.
Vashishth looks worried.
Ram - As you wish.

Precap - Vishwamitra is angry over what happened to Sita, who is like a daughter to him.

Brihaspati asked Narad to find a way out. It looks like Narad will cause Ram-Hanuman war. Then all, including Vishwamitra will witness the effect of Ram-naam. Then Vishwamitra's anger will be over. Just a guess.

I have another question. When did Shatrughan rename Madhupuri to Mathura? Wouldn't he have done it on starting, since the city bore the name of Lavanasura's father, and he may have wanted to change that? Or is there a different reason and time when the city got its name?

I have another question. Is it the same Mathura which later on Ugrasena rules and then Kamsa in Dwapar Yug? In that case, is Kamsa descended from Shatrughan's line?

Yes, it's the same Mathura, but Ugrasena is not descended from Shatrughan. Shatrughan was a Suryavansh, whereas Ugrasena and the entire Yadava clan were Chandravansh. Yadu, remember, was a son of Yayati, who was a Chandravansh.

Shatrughan's dynasty ended a few generations after him, and it seems Madhu's family i.e. Lavanasura's descendents got it back. Note that my source for this is RC Majumdar's The Vedic Age, which is a part of his history series, and not any scriptural source like the Puranas.

Is Yadu the son of Devayani or Sarmishta? Because I remember that Puru, the son of Sarmishta, because the direct heir of his father. I think to prevent revolts amongst his sons, Yayati made Devayani's sons the Yaduvansh and Sarmishta's sons the continuers of the Chandravansh. Don't know if this is true though.

Yadu's was the son of Devyani and Yayati. the other son being Turavasu.
Sons of Sharmishtha were: Druhyu,Anu,Puru.
It was a curse that expelled Yadus from being called Chandravanshi.

Shatughna's descendents lost Mathura to Bhima-Satavata who were Druhyus, another branch of Chandravanshis. This is mentioned in adiparva MBH.

In yest epi, Vishwamitra is angry with Ram for what happened to Sita?? I haven't watched the epi but reading the update ,I was amused at the image of Vishwamitra shown here.
Howcome he's so concerned abt what happened to Sita while he never even looked back at his own daughter Shakuntala?
Neither he nor Menaka are bothered abt her and leave the tender baby in the forest until rishi Kanva finds and adopts her.

сегодня Сагары показали миру актёра, кто будет играть Кришну-подростка в "Джай Шри Кришна" Канса-вадх.
Ничего так, вполне канонический. Чем-то похож на Кришну из Эктовой Махабхараты, но гораздо моложе и в чём-то иконописнее...

...а Вишвамитра сильно разгневался. Так разошёлся, что Брихаспати запросил Нараду о помощи...
Выверт, конечно, интересный, но опять таки - Сагаров копирайт, ибо никто так и не нашёл, откуда они эту историю взяли.
И ещё одно маленькое наблюдение. Определённо Гурмиту надоело играть всё время печального Раму.. Хмм..
